In the sprawling underground chambers of the 21st century, a new evolution of humanity began.
The marriage of biology and machinery gave rise to the Cyborgs, a clan championing the ethos of transhumanism. These weren't mere humans with mechanical parts; they were the visionaries of a new era, where limitations of flesh and bone were transcended.
The Mechanist, a visionary who envisaged a world where humans weren't bound by their biological constraints. His identity remains enigmatic, with only tales of his first merging ceremony, sung in harmonious electronic rhythms, shedding light on his persona.
Deep beneath the earth's crust, they carved out cities illuminated by bioluminescent organisms. A world where technology and organic life coexisted in a delicate balance.
Bioengineering was their currency. Crafting bespoke organic machines, they traded with surface dwellers, ensuring their secluded cities never lacked resources.
"Evolution is the only constant". This phrase wasn't just a saying; it was their lifeblood. They believed in continuous upgrades, pushing the boundaries of what it meant to be human.
Neutral for the most part, their only skirmishes were with the Hacktivists, mainly over ancient tech relics. Their primary contention was ideological, questioning the sanctity of human purity.
